There are so many things we thought we could do. We wanted to go backpacking in Ireland. We wanted to go on an African Safari. We wanted to go on an Alaskan cruise. The list is endless. Instead of doing something exotic, we decided to drive two hours north to Vermont and hole-up in a log cabin for a week. Since our jobs require us to travel so much to locations all over the world, we thought this would be the best and most relaxful vacation. The funny thing is that we had to learn how to relax! 2009 was such a busy, go-go-go year that we were pinging for the few months leading up to the wedding. With Susan flying full time, John flying part-time and working full time, Susan working as a full time Masters Degree student, the Combined Federal Campaign going on with the both of us playing big parts and the wedding coming up, there was a lot going on. We were really looking forward to a relaxing honeymoon. We just didn't realize how difficult that would be!
