THE WEDDING PLANS We decided to have a website for our wedding so we could have fun with our wedding invitations. If you would like to see the pages we had on our website to inform our guests what to expect on wedding day, please click on the links below.
Wedding Details The Location Food Registry Guest Book
We have always thought our wedding would be very non-traditional in most ways. We didn't have a formal rehearsal dinner, the groom helped the bride dress before the ceremony, very few flowers (only one bouquet to be exact and not held by the bride), and Dr. Seuss rhyming vows.
The begin our wild weekend, on Friday night we had a pre-wedding party for our family and close friends at our hotel. Because we were dead-set against traditional events, we didn't have a rehearsal dinner. Instead our friends, Julie and Greg (and Greg's Food Network Mom, Rita) prepared a wonderful feast of quesadillas, chicken wings, lasagna, and brownies. Susan's Mom Marilyn made her "famous" Scotch-A-Roos" as well. There was also plenty of beverages (adult and non-adult) for everyone. We were so happy so many of our "Southern" family attended.

THE DAY It rained like a BANSHEE all day!! It was perfect for our perfect day. We love the rain and don't they say rain on your wedding day is good luck? We don't believe that, but we do believe that we would not have had such a wonderful day without the rain. Besides, it HAD to rain because we had great t-shirts made just in case!

THE CHURCH After the wonderful Friday party, Saturday morning was finally here and it was raining "cats and dogs". The entire week leading up to the weekend was beautiful New England fall weather. However, when Saturday came, that all changed. They say rain on your wedding day is good luck. We certainly hope so because we'll have a lot of luck ahead of us!
The groom helped the bride get ready for the "official" church ceremony. Notice the matron of honor in the mirror taking the pictures!!

Yes, we did have some tradition. Our church ceremony was held at All Saints Episcopal Church in South Hadley, MA on Saturday morning at 8:30 am. It was a beautiful and small service performed by our priest, Tanya, for our closest family and friends.

WICKHAM PARK
Here is our wedding cake, which is actually wedding cupcakes:

And instead of registering for a gift, our guests registered for a dish that was all Halloween finger foods!

We also had cotton candy and a chocolate fountain:

We asked our friends to bring their entire families, so we had a lot of stuff for the kids to do, too:
THE AFTER-PARTY After the wedding festivities, a bunch of us went back to the hotel to relax and reflex with a little help from our stogies:
